This recording will allow you to relax, in a way you probably haven’t been able to do for some time and ultimately, provide you with a more restful nights sleep. Life can be busy and stressful at times, which can lead to our minds being overactive at a time when we don’t want it to be. A doctor once said to me, ‘if you have an overactive mind, why do you think lying down horizontally will allow you to sleep, you need to learn how to silence your mind first’. Some people count sheep, some people use mindful exercises or meditation to shut down their thoughts at night and I use this simple grounding exercise which works for me. Grounding exercise: Think of items in your room followed by its colour ie: door – white, carpet – grey, bedside table – brown etc.
